Valentine's Day Scones

Zutaten


For the scones:
1 egg
75 g soft butter
130 ml milk
50 g frozen raspberries


For the filling:
150 g fresh strawberries
150 g cream cheese
50 g cream
1 packet of cream stiffener
20 g sugar
1 packet of vanilla sugar
1-2 tbsp lemon juice

Zubereitung

Preparation with the baking mix Scones "My Favorite Person ":

  1. First preheat the oven to 165°C fan.
  2. Put the egg in a glass and whisk it with a fork.
  3. Open the baking mix, remove the sachet with the cinnamon sugar and set it aside for a moment.
  4. Put the baking mix with the soft butter, the milk and half the beaten egg into a large bowl and quickly knead with your hands until you have a smooth dough.
  5. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and roll out to about 2-3 cm thick.
  6. Cut out hearts from the dough and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  7. Top the hearts with frozen raspberries, brush with the remaining egg and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  8. Bake the Valentine's Day scones in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Preparing the filling

  1. Wash and clean the strawberries and cut them into small cubes.
  2. Put the cream cheese together with the cream, cream stiffener, sugar, vanilla sugar and lemon juice into a mixing bowl and beat briefly.
  3. Fill the cream into a piping bag with a perforated nozzle.
  4. Cut the scones in half with a knife and pipe the cream onto the base. Top with the strawberry cubes and cover with the lid.
  5. Valentine’s Day scones are best enjoyed fresh.
