So easy to bake
This is how easy it is to bake 500 g of Christmas Stollen:
- Open the freshness seal, remove the powdered sugar (small bag) and put it to one side. Pour the baking mix into a large bowl or into a Thermomix mixing bowl.
- Then add 40 g soft butter and 70 g curd cheese to the baking mix and knead the dough by hand, with a food processor or with a Thermomix for about 4 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180° top and bottom heat.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured work surface and roll it out into a rectangle (approx. 20 x 15 cm). Fold one half onto the next half, offset. Then form a bulge with the edges of both hands.
- Bake the Stollen at 180° for about 30-35 minutes. Meanwhile, melt 40 g butter.
- Brush the still hot Stollen with the butter, pour the icing sugar into a sieve and dust the Stollen with it.
