The most wonderful time of the year for many is fast approaching: we are of course talking about Advent and Christmas. In addition to the icy temperatures outside and the pre-Christmas spirit that already begins in November, one thing is a must in the pre-Christmas period: biscuits made from the finest shortcrust pastry!
When you think of shortcrust pastry, most of you probably think of Christmas first - after all, there are a lot of Christmas cookies that use shortcrust pastry as a base! But this classic dough is much more versatile: after all, it can also be used as a base for tarts, tartlets, cheesecakes, gateaux and sheet cakes. In addition, small pastries made from shortcrust pastry are a hit all year round, e.g. as croissants or cookies with coffee.
