Vanilla crescents

110g butter


Vegan:
110g vegan butter

Zubereitung

Preparation with the organic vanilla crescent baking mix :

  1. Open the seal, remove the sachet of vanilla icing sugar, and set it aside. Pour the organic baking mix into a large bowl.
  2. Cut 110g of cold butter into small pieces and add it to the baking mix in the bowl. Knead into a dough by hand, with a food processor, or with the Thermomix for about 1 minute.
  3. Wrap the dough in cling film and chill for about 60 minutes or overnight.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Line baking trays with baking paper.
  5. On a floured work surface, roll the dough into a roughly 3 cm thick log and cut into roughly 1 cm thick (nut-sized) pieces. Roll between your palms into sticks, shape them into crescents, and place them on baking sheets lined with baking paper.
  6. Bake in the oven on the second rack from the bottom for about 10-15 minutes until the ends are lightly browned.
  7. Pour the vanilla sugar mixture into a small sieve and sprinkle the still-warm vanilla crescents with the sugar mixture. Let the crescents cool for about 10 minutes.
