A baguette like in France. Our organic baguettes are very easy to prepare and taste like they came fresh from the bakery in Paris.

So easy to prepare

It’s so easy to bake 2 organic baguettes:

  1. Open the freshness seal, put the baking mix in a bowl, add 220 ml of lukewarm water (see water line in the can) and knead the dough by hand, with the food processor or with the Thermomix for approx. 3 minutes.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rest in the bowl at room temperature (approx. 24 °C) for 30-60 minutes.
  3. Place the dough on a floured work surface and divide it into 2 pieces using a dough scraper. Shape each piece of dough into a rectangle (approx. 8 x 10 cm), sprinkle with a little flour and roll it up. Roll the dough rolls with the end facing upwards on the well-floured work surface with both hands until they are longer (approx. 25 cm), increasing the pressure of the outside of the hands and shaping the ends into a point.
  4. Place the shaped baguettes with the seam facing down in floured proving baskets or on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let them rise, covered, for 30-45 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 230 °C (top and bottom heat). Cut the top of the baguettes several times with a sharp knife.
  6. Brush or spray the baguettes with some lukewarm water.
  7. Bake at 230 °C for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 190 °C and bake for another 15 minutes. Remove from the baking tray, allow to cool on a rack and serve.

  • Tips

    For optimal results, we recommend using only high-quality organic ingredients.
    When kneading the dough, make sure that all ingredients are well mixed together.
    Give the dough enough time to rest so that it can rise well and the baguettes become nice and airy.
    When shaping the baguettes, make sure that they are evenly shaped to achieve an even baking result.
    Cutting the baguettes before baking ensures a nice appearance and allows them to rise evenly in the oven.
    Spraying the baguettes with water before baking gives the crust a beautiful color and ensures a crispy texture.
    Keep an eye on the baking time to achieve a perfect result – every oven is different.
    After baking, let the baguettes cool on a rack so that they do not continue to cook due to the residual heat from the baking tray.
