In Christmas baking, shortcrust pastry is the classic when it comes to baking biscuits, especially when baking with children. Beautifully decorated and sprinkled, the Christmas shortcrust biscuits are quick and easy to prepare and are a joy to behold. They also taste heavenly of Christmas!

So easy to bake
This is how easy it is to bake 2 baking trays of organic shortcrust biscuits:
- Open the freshness seal and pour the organic baking mix into a large bowl.
- Cut 165 g of cold butter into small pieces and add it to the baking mix in the bowl with an egg yolk. Knead into a dough by hand, with a food processor or with the Thermomix for about 2-3 minutes.
- Wrap the dough in cling film and chill for about 60 minutes or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat. Line baking trays with baking paper.
- Sprinkle the work surface and dough with flour and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 5 mm. Cut out the cookies using a cookie cutter and place them on the baking sheets.
- Bake one after the other on the middle rack (depending on the size of the biscuits) for about 10-15 minutes until they turn a light brown color. Allow to cool briefly and then remove from the baking tray. The organic shortcrust biscuits will last for at least 8 weeks if stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
